Info: Michał Olszewski is a journalist, reporter, writer and environmentalist. He works as editor-in-chief of the Krakow branch of Gazeta Wyborcza. He won the Kapuściński Award in 2015, and for his work By Touch he received an award in the Oczy otwarte reportage competition. His prose debut was the short-story collection To Amsterdam (2003, First Prize in the 3rd Edition of the Znak-Proza Competition held by Znak Publishers). In 2005 he published Praise the Dappled Meadows, and in 2009, the novel Low-tech. In 2010 he published Notes on Tickets – a story of journeys through Poland, and An Eco-book about Eco-God, a record of conversations on the environment with Franciscan priest Stanisław Jaromi.
In 2009 he was nominated for the A. Woyciechowski Award and the Grand Press Prize in the Journalism category, and in 2012 he received the Małopolska Journalist Award in the Internet Journalism category and the Grand Prix Małopolska Journalist Award.
